Nephron Launches Pocket Neb to Children at Asthma Camp

April 06, 2017

Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation (Nephron) is proud to announce the launch of a new Pocket Neb at the third annual “Camp Catch Your Breath” on April 8, 2017, in Columbia, S.C.  “Camp Catch Your Breath” is a free one-day camp for children with asthma, ages 5 to 12, hosted by Midlands Technical College (MTC) and Nephron.

Nephron will be gifting each camper with a Pocket Neb, a hand-held nebulizer, along with a demonstration on how to properly use the device to take their medication.  This nebulizer is assembled locally by area students at the MTC Accelerator Building by Micro Vapor Devices, a sister company of Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation.  The Pocket Neb is an FDA approved medical device.

The Pocket Neb contains a vibrating mesh technology that engages fast delivery through a fine, breathing aerosol.   At 0.4 milliliters per minute average, the Pocket Neb has a 98 percent mediation delivery.  It is designed with easy operation to allow children to take their medicine with convenience.

The Pocket Neb includes a medication cup, mouthpiece, mask adapter, USB charger cable, AC wall adapter and a portable carrying pouch that allows easy availability at any time.

“Camp Catch Your Breath” will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Drew Wellness Center, 2101 Walker Solomon Way in Columbia.  Snacks, lunch, arts and crafts, and games will be included throughout the event.
