Nephron Pharmaceuticals earned 2017 Global Facility of the Year Mention

Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation (Nephron) won a prestigious international award for 2017 Facility of the Year on Tuesday. 

The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) recognized Nephron with an honorable mention award along with seven other facilities, acknowledging excellent facility design, construction, and operations. “Nephron is an innovative facility using industry leading technologies including blow-fill-seal technology, laser guided vehicles, automated warehousing, robotics to eliminate human intervention, and track and trace technology,” said the ISPE judges.

Nephron headquarters relocated to West Columbia, S.C. earlier this year. The company has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a sterile manufacturer of generic respiratory medications along with a new outsourcing facility providing equal sterility and quality. 

The ISPE established the Facility of the Year (FOYA) awards to recognize companies that utilize new and innovative technologies. The FOYA program provides a platform for manufacturers in the healthcare industry to showcase accomplishments and cutting-edge approaches.
