In-House Pharmacy for Employees

Employees can now take advantage of our convenient, on-site pharmacy which delivers low-cost prescription drugs, generics at only $3.50/Rx, vaccines, and over the counter health products like CBD, vitamins, and supplements. A team of pharmacy professionals will staff the on-site pharmacy, serving employees and family members who participate in the Nephron health plan.

Setting Up Employees For Success

New Hire Orientation

Nephron is committed to setting up employees for success and conducts rigorous on-boarding that includes the traditional new hire orientation, along with our in-depth Boot Camp. Boot Camp is a training course that combines learning techniques to include instructor-led training with presentations, tours, demonstrations, assessments, and hands on job-related activities.

On the Job Training

Once employees reach their intended department, they start comprehensive on-the-job (OJT) training, led by subject matter expert trainers. During the OJT certification process, employees learn the ins and outs of their job position and duties. They are able to observe and practice tasks to master the material before performing independently. Trainees are given the knowledge and skills to perform their job duties with confidence.

Free Apprenticeships Provided by Nephron

Nephron is proud to announce our partnership with Apprenticeship Carolina, a division of the SC Technical College System dedicated to increasing the awareness and use of registered apprenticeships in South Carolina. “We are so thrilled to give our employees the opportunity to go back to school and earn a certification while still working at Nephron,” said Lou Kennedy, CEO. The program provides employees the opportunity to earn a Pharmacy Technician certificate at Midlands Technical College (MTC).

The MTC Pharmacy Technician program teaches students proper pharmacy operations under the supervision of registered pharmacists, and combines classroom, online and experiential learning into a well-balanced program of study. Participants will receive a paid-for education while continuing to work, allowing them to earn money and gather on-the-job training and knowledge.

As a pharmacy intern, Nephron has provided me with a unique opportunity to gain in depth, hands on knowledge of sterile outsourcing. The fast-paced and innovative environment at Nephron provides immense opportunity for learning, networking and professional growth.

Executive Vice President of Manufacturing Operations Lance Rogers has held a number of positions at Nephron, including Vice President of Manufacturing Operations, Director of Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) Maintenance and Engineering Supervisor. Lance has an intimate understanding of every step of our manufacturing process, not only because he has over 30 years of total manufacturing experience, but because he has loyally served our company at many levels – offering incredible perspective and expertise.
